The festival traditionally starts at 3pm and entrance is free.
June 11 marks the start of the annual Flower Festival - a truly picturesque event that will kick off with a magnificent parade. At 2pm, a procession of moving platforms accompanied by performers and decorated horse-drawn carriages will make its way from the Ostrovsky Square and along Nevsky prospect; then, the Festival’s grand opening will commence at the Palace Square and feature various shows, flower exhibitions, and contests. The festival will continue on June 12 with a gala concert.
Another grand event will commence on June 10 at Kronstadt’s Fort Konstantin; at the 2nd International Kite Festival, amateurs and established professionals from different countries will launch their kites into the sky above the Gulf of Finland. The event will also feature workshops on kite making, kiteboarding lessons, a wakeboard contest, and a lot more. The festival will last for two days and end on June 11; entrance is free for anyone who brings a kite!
For those looking for some cultural experience, there is the Slavic Fair, which will take place from June 9 to 12 at the Dolgoe Ozero park in St. Petersburg. Try out folk dances and games, feast on traditional Slavic cuisine, and take lots of memorable photos!
Finally, from June 10 to 11, the Starcon festival will take place at the Expoforum exhibition center.
